The verdict that will be delivered tomorrow will not be the true judgement of the Australian people. It will be the twisted, manipulated reaction of people who have been confused, lied to and fed bizarre conspiracy stories. Lies pushed by media, politicians and others for their own profit and power.

I thought I was joking a few months ago in Ryrie Park when I said no one is coming for your back yard. Apparently not. Apparently those blackfellas will get a militia and form a separate government and eventually they *will* push us back into the sea. Amazing what they will do, just by demanding it.

Our bigger and continuing job, clearly, is to push back, not only against the lies, but against the liars. We need to rid our society of this toxic poison if we are ever to return to the improving path I believe we were on, until around 1990.

And my opinion, for what it’s worth: the Coalition is clearly part of the problem. Labor is either too intimidated to push back or they have become so right-wing they don’t see the problem.
